First time we met Yaroslav was during the Kicking it like a pro: Our 4th test run event in Kyiv, held in collaboration with U+. At the time, he was taking his first steps with his new prosthetic blade, and it was clear from the start that his determination was unmatched. His Journey in Defense of Ukraine
Yaroslav volunteered to defend Ukraine in 2022, signing up to serve his country during a critical time. In July 2023, while on a combat mission, he suffered a severe injury that led to the loss of his leg. His life took a dramatic turn, but the story didn’t end there.
Despite the challenges he faced, Yaroslav’s commitment to his country and to recovery never wavered. The road ahead wasn’t easy, but his drive to rebuild and reclaim his strength became his focus.
