Dancing Through Resilience: Honoured to Be Part of the Brave Hearts Charity Ball
On May 31st, in the heart of Kyiv, something extraordinary happened. An elegant ballroom was transformed into a stage for courage, healing, and the power of human spirit. We had the honour of being there.
The Brave Hearts Charity Ball, organized by U+ System and the Federation of Employers of Ukraine, brought together veterans, dancers, families, and supporters for an evening unlike any other, a celebration of resilience and new beginnings.
Ten Ukrainian defenders, all of whom had sustained life-changing injuries and undergone prosthetic rehabilitation, stepped onto the dance floor after months of training. Among them was Artem Moroz, a double amputee who lost his legs during the liberation of Kherson. That evening, he danced a foxtrot, not just with poise and grace, but with a powerful presence that reminded everyone what bravery truly looks like.
It was a moment that moved us all. But the evening held yet another unforgettable moment.
We were presented with a symbolic and deeply humbling gift:
-
A Ukrainian flag signed by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy
-
And a Levitate prosthesis worn by veteran Roman “Dobryak” from the 3rd Assault Brigade — the very one he used to summit Mount Kilimanjaro.
The gift was handed to Levitate CEO Lasse Werner by Dmytro Oliinyk, Chairman of the Federation of Employers of Ukraine. Though the flag and blade remain in Ukraine, the meaning behind them will stay with us forever.
"For all of us at Levitate, this is more than a gesture — it’s a powerful symbol of trust, shared purpose, and the real human impact of what we do."
At Levitate, we don’t just design prosthetic technology, we create tools that help people move, thrive, and reclaim their independence.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the team at U+ System for the invitation and for their relentless commitment to transforming lives — turning “minus into plus” in the most meaningful ways.
