Levitate Awarded the Order of St. Panteleimon for Long-Term Commitment to Rehabilitation in Ukraine

We are deeply honored to share that Levitate has been awarded the Order of St. Panteleimon, Ukraine's highest civilian distinction in healthcare, in recognition of our long-term contribution to rehabilitation for people affected by the war.

The Order of St. Panteleimon recognizes outstanding contributions to medicine, rehabilitation, humanitarian care, and saving lives. For everyone at Levitate, this recognition represents far more than an award. It is a tribute to the people and partnerships that have made our work in Ukraine possible.

Standing alongside Ukraine

Since September 2023, rehabilitation has become one of Levitate's most important commitments.

Working together with rehabilitation centres, prosthetic clinics, clinicians, humanitarian organizations, and local partners, we have focused on expanding access to modern prosthetic technology while strengthening the rehabilitation ecosystem through education, clinical training, and long-term collaboration.

Over the past three years, our team has:

• Spent more than 400 cumulative working days in Ukraine before establishing Levitate Ukraine as a local subsidiary in 2025.
• Helped thousands of people begin their rehabilitation journey.
• Organized more than 40 rehabilitation and professional training initiatives together with Ukrainian partners.
• Established Levitate Ukraine, bringing together Danish and Ukrainian professionals working full-time to strengthen local rehabilitation capacity.

Today, Levitate Ukraine continues to work alongside local rehabilitation professionals to ensure that expertise, innovation, and modern prosthetic solutions remain embedded within Ukraine's healthcare system.

This recognition belongs to many

While Levitate's name is engraved on the Order, we know this recognition belongs to far more people than our company alone.

It belongs to every member of the Levitate team in Denmark and Ukraine. It belongs to the prosthetists, clinicians, rehabilitation professionals, humanitarian organizations, and partners who have trusted us and worked alongside us throughout this journey.

Most importantly, it belongs to every person rebuilding their life after limb loss. Every individual who has taken their first steps with a prosthesis reminds us why rehabilitation matters.

More than restoring mobility

For Levitate, rehabilitation has never been only about prosthetic technology.

It is about helping people return to their families, their work, their communities, and the activities that give life meaning.

Our ambassador Vlad Blazhchuk, a Ukrainian veteran, describes it best:

These words reflect exactly why our commitment to Ukraine continues.

Looking ahead

The need for rehabilitation in Ukraine remains enormous. Every day, more people begin the long journey of rebuilding their lives after limb loss, increasing the need for innovative prosthetic technology, skilled clinicians, and sustainable rehabilitation systems.

Receiving the Order of St. Panteleimon is an incredible honor, but we see it as something more important: a reminder that there is still much work to be done.

We remain committed to working alongside Ukraine's rehabilitation community, investing in innovation, sharing knowledge, and helping ensure that more people have access to the care and technology they need to regain mobility, independence, and hope.
