Boxing Tournament in Kyiv Brings Veterans Together Through Sport
A charity boxing tournament at Respublika Park shopping mall brought together Ukrainian veterans for a day of sport and shared experience.
The event was organized by Respublika Park together with the TYTANOVI prosthetics and rehabilitation center, creating an opportunity for veterans to challenge themselves physically while reconnecting through sport. Among the invited guests were undisputed world boxing champion Oleksandr Usyk and Ukrainian singer Kozak Siromakha, who came to support the participants.
The tournament included 12 friendly fights involving 24 veterans. Among them were six Levitate prosthesis users: Vitalii Makhlai, Serhii Lazariev, Oleksii Kolesnichenko, Serhii Kharchenko, Maksym Fedosieiev, and Yurii Oleksiienko.
For many amputee veterans, returning to sport is an important part of adapting to life after injury. Activities like boxing, training, and other everyday physical challenges help rebuild confidence, strengthen the body, and create opportunities to reconnect with others.

Several participants competed using Levitate prosthetic solutions, including the Levitate Running Blade and the Forever Foot. Designed to support stable and natural movement, these prostheses help users stay active in daily life and participate in a wide range of physical activities.
While each fight was competitive and energetic, the tournament maintained a friendly spirit throughout the day, and all matches ended in a draw.
Events like this show how sport can play a meaningful role in helping veterans stay active, regain confidence, and continue participating in the activities that shape everyday life.
