Yaroslav at Invictus Games 2025

Yaroslav at Invictus Games 2025

We first met Yaroslav during the Kicking it like a pro: Our 4th test run event in Kyiv, held in collaboration with U+. At the time, he was taking his first steps with our prosthetic, and it was clear from the start that his determination was unmatched

Yaroslav volunteered to defend Ukraine in 2022, signing up to serve his country during a critical time. In July 2023, while on a combat mission, he suffered a severe injury that led to the loss of his leg. His life took a dramatic turn, but the story didn’t end there.

Despite the challenges he faced, Yaroslav’s commitment to his country and to recovery never wavered. The road ahead wasn’t easy, but his drive to rebuild and reclaim his strength became his focus.

Yaroslav was competing in Canada at the Invictus Games 2025, where he was part of Ukraine’s largest team yet. With 35 veterans and service members, this year’s team represented the spirit of resilience, unity, and strength. The Ukrainian national team won 30 medals, which was the second-best result in the country's history.
