Ampubox: Making boxing an accessible sport

Australian Ben Brizzi Jr. was 14 months old when his right leg was amputated. When his father, also named Ben, started Brizzi Brothers Boxing Gym together with his brother Cos, it felt natural to make the sport he loves accessible for people with disabilities and amputated everyday athletes &#8211; like his son. Years later, Ben and Cos&#8217; boxing facility still offers special training lessons for both wheelchair users, Parkinson’s sufferers and amputees.
We got in touch with Ben Jr. in November when he was looking for a durable, flexible and affordable running blade. Naturally the <a href="https://letslevitate.com/running-blades">Levitate blade</a> came in handy.

A bit about the gym

Brizzi Brothers Boxing Gym first opened in 1968 by brothers Ben &amp; Cos. The gym has catered for males and females in the Northern suburbs ever since. We have trained people of all abilities from maintaining the obvious fitness and health benefits and also for people competing in both amateur and professional competition. Brizzi Brothers is also the longest family run gym in the country, and trained a female world champion, and over twenty Victorian and Australian champions/representatives.
