On April 17, 2023, Sebastian Engwald, our very own Sales Executive and para-athlete, accomplished a remarkable feat: he completed the 127th Boston Marathon. This was not only a first-time experience for Sebastian but also for any Levitate blade to cross the finish line on Boylston Street.

Sebastian’s achievement was a true testament to his dedication and hard work, as he ran the entire 42.2 km race alongside an exclusive group of elite runners led by the Boston Marathon’s race director, Dave McGillivray. Despite receiving an invitation to run with the group with only three weeks’ notice, Sebastian rose to the challenge and crossed the finish line in Boston with the Levitate crew cheering him on.

“Sebastian’s accomplishment is truly inspiring and a testament to his commitment to pushing himself beyond his limits,” said Levitate CEO and founder, Lasse Madsen, who is also a leg amputee.
