Last month, Phoenix played host to our first test run event in Arizona. As part our ongoing Freedom Tour, the test run event provided amputees with the opportunity to try out our running blades free of charge.
The event took place at Ability 360, which was abuzz with anticipation early in the morning. Among the participants was Angelica, who lost her leg in a hit-and-run accident in 2022. This was her first time trying out a Levitate running blade, and she managed to do several laps straight out the gate.
Mathew, an active outdoorsman, who has used a Levitate running blade for 6 months, provided helpful tips and encouragement to the rest of the participants.
Throughout the day, the track filled with amputees of all ages, each taking their own steps toward rediscovery. Some participants moved slowly and cautiously, while others quickly found their rhythm. The atmosphere was supportive and focused, with participants exchanging practical advice and personal stories.
The Phoenix test run was a massive success, fulfilling our goal of providing local amputees with a hands-on experience with running blades and fostering a sense of community in Phoenix. We forward to continuing this journey on the Freedom Tour, bringing the same opportunities to other cities.
Next up is Atlanta, Georgia, in August. Sign up for Atlanta and the rest of the Freedom Tour right here.
