16th U+ Sports Prosthetics event x FC Dynamo Kyiv
On February 20th, Levitate, in partnership with U+, provided our Forever Foot and Running Blade prosthetics to 25 courageous Ukrainian servicemen at the 16th U+ Sports Prosthetics Event in Kyiv. This landmark event was more than just a prosthetic fitting session, it marked the beginning of a new chapter for these soldiers, full of hope, resilience, and the chance for a fresh start.
At Levitate, our mission is to support wounded defenders by providing specialized sports prosthetics to aid in their rehabilitation. Through physical activity and sports, these brave soldiers can regain their mobility, independence, and confidence.
Most of the servicemen we assist are young individuals who are determined to continue living life fully, despite the severe injuries they’ve endured. While many prosthetic devices are available, not all are suitable for sports or allow soldiers to continue serving their country. That’s why Levitate, alongside U+, provides the Running Blade for sports and the Forever Foot for everyday use.
The event also featured FC Dynamo Kyiv, with football players including Andriy Yarmolenko, offering the soldiers a chance to test their new prosthetic devices in action. The players joined the soldiers for an amateur football match to try their new prosthetics in action.
For many participants, this match was more than just a game, it was an opportunity to reconnect with their love of football, test the limits of their new prosthetics, and bond with others who understand their struggles.
