From test run to blade runner: Luis's return to an active life

Luis’s story embodies the strength found in support during life’s unexpected challenges. Three years ago, an accident changed his life when he lost a leg. Since then, he has been sharing his journey of recovery, inspiring other amputees to to pursue new possibilities.

We met Luis at our test run event in Atlanta back in August He had been running daily with a standard prosthetic foot, working hard to reignite his active life. Seeing his dedication, his wife, Kyara, surprised him organizing a trip to Atlanta for our test run event, giving him the chance to try a running blade.

Luis had no idea where they were headed until they arrived. This thoughtful gesture not only demonstrated her unwavering support but also opened the door for Luis to experience running in a whole new way.

Guided by our own Sales Executive Sebastian Engwald, Luis navigated his first experience with the running blade, feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness.

The atmosphere of the event was filled with encouragement from fellow participants. This sense of community created an uplifting experience, further motivating Luis to take on this new challenge.
