Levitate at the top of Kilimanjaro
Five Ukrainian war veterans - Roman Dobryak, Olia Egorova, Vladislav Shatilov, Mykhailo Matviiv, and Oleksandr Mikhov, have reached the 5,895-meter summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. Among them, four are amputees, proving that physical limitations do not define a person’s potential.
This climb, supported by Second Wind Ukraine, aimed to challenge perceptions of veterans with prosthetics and highlight their strength. The team spent six days scaling Africa’s tallest peak, overcoming extreme altitude and harsh weather.
Two of the climbers, Roman Dobryak and Vladislav Shatilov, took on this challenge wearing Levitate prosthetics, proving that advanced mobility solutions can empower individuals to push their limits. Despite the demanding conditions, the team raised a six-meter Ukrainian flag at the summit.
This mission took four months of preparation and is set to be featured in an upcoming documentary, sharing their inspiring story with the world. Their success is a testament to the unbreakable spirit of Ukraine’s defenders and the life-changing potential of advanced prosthetics.
It's a honor to be part of their journey and we are proud to see our prosthetics helping push boundaries.
