Bastian Berrios Takes on the South American Triathlon
When we talk about pushing limits, Bastian Berrios is a name that stands out.
This past weekend, Bastian competed in the South American Triathlon – a tough test of endurance that demands months of preparation, both physically and mentally. It’s not just about crossing the finish line. It’s about everything that leads up to it: the early mornings, the aching muscles, the self-doubt, and the small wins that keep you going.
“Physically, it took months of preparation in every area,” Bastian shared. “Swimming, cycling, and running. Along with that, there was also physical training at the gym. Mentally, we tried to find ways to overcome self-sabotaging thoughts.”
As someone who uses our prosthetic, Bastian’s journey wasn't only about athletic conditioning, it was about redefining what's possible. He trained hard in all three disciplines, but the most demanding part came at the end: the run.
“The hardest part, I’d say, was probably the running, simply because I was already dealing with a lot of physical pain,” he admitted. “The swimming went well overall, and cycling is where I was able to stand out a bit more.”
But he didn’t stop. He pushed through every step. “For me, it meant a lot. So much time spent preparing the chance to represent, and to see the results of so many months of training and sacrifices, of lost sleep. It was incredibly rewarding.”
At Levitate, we’re proud to support athletes like Bastian, people who embrace the challenge, put in the work, and show us all what strength really looks like. It demonstrates how performance improves when the right mindset meets the right tools.
Congratulations, Bastian! Can't wait to see what you achieve next!
