Climbing Higher Together: Levitate Ukraine at the Gorgany Race
At Levitate, we believe in the power of community, movement, and resilience, and the recent Gorgany Race, led by Second Wind Club, was a powerful example of all three.
Levitate Ukraine had the honor of joining Second Wind Club on this inspiring journey — a 12 km mountain challenge that brought together veterans and volunteers around one shared mission: to prove that with the right support, mindset, and tools, anything is possible.
Second Wind Club is a one-of-a-kind organization supporting veterans and military personnel with prosthetics. Through outdoor adventures and physical challenges, they help individuals rediscover purpose and rebuild confidence.
For this event, they brought together 18 veterans, most using Levitate prosthetics, to take on the rugged Gorgany terrain and the results were nothing short of inspiring.
What stood out most wasn’t just the physical endurance, it was the unity. The group moved as one, supporting each other every step of the way.
One participant's story stood out deeply. As Jakob Bolton, Director of Levitate Ukraine, shared:
"I was particularly struck by the story of one of the participants. He had only been using a prosthetic for three weeks — and already, he joined the team for the Gorgany Race. Thanks to the support of his brothers, he made it to the finish line and back to camp. This is proof that the power of spirit and faith in yourself can overcome any obstacle."
This race also took place on Constitution Day in Ukraine — a day that honors the resilience and strength of the Ukrainian people.
We're proud to have been part of this event and we can’t wait to support the next adventure!
