Back in Action: Mykhailo’s First Run in Six Months
On June 25, together with the UNBROKEN Ukraine Foundation, we joined a special day dedicated to movement, confidence, and community. The event brought together Ukrainian defenders, many of whom have experienced limb loss, to reconnect with sport and rediscover the joy of running and playing again.
One of them was Mykhailo Ternavskyi.
“I ran for the first time in six months,” he said. “It’s an incredible feeling, like I’m living life to the fullest again. It’s just a miracle.”
Throughout the day, participants trained on the basketball court with physical therapists, prosthetists, and a running coach from PROBIG Club. Using their Levitate prosthetics, they moved through drills focused on agility, speed, and teamwork — supported every step of the way.
Some participants were trying sport-specific movement for the first time. Others, already experienced with their prosthetics, shared tips and encouragement — creating a powerful peer-to-peer exchange that highlighted the strength of this growing community.
We’re grateful to the UNBROKEN Foundation and its Executive Director Oleksandr Kobzarev for walking alongside us — and to all the participants who continue to inspire us every day.
