Joseph Shredz Takes on the Spartan Race with the Levitate Blade

Joseph Shredz is an amputee athlete from the United States who approaches sport as a way to challenge limits, build resilience, and keep moving forward. For him, racing is not only about performance, but about proving what is possible through persistence and determination.
The Challenge
The race demanded both physical endurance and mental focus. Spanning 21 kilometres, the course combined long-distance running with a variety of obstacles, including climbing walls, crawling through mud, navigating barbed wire, and maintaining continuous movement over an extended period of time.
Each section required adaptability, strength, and confidence in every step.
The Hardest Moment
Among all the obstacles, one stood out as the most demanding. Crawling under barbed wire required Joseph to stay low, controlled, and fully focused — testing both mobility and trust in his equipment. Compared to that moment, the remaining obstacles felt significantly more manageable.
