One Team, One Finish Line: Levitate Veterans Take on Spartan Race 2026

One Team, One Finish Line: Levitate Veterans Take on Spartan Race 2026

Levitate Ukraine team joined Ukrainian veterans using Levitate prosthetics to take part in Spartan Race 2026, completing a demanding 5 km course featuring 20 obstacles.

Participants travelled from across Ukraine to be part of the event, some even arrived directly from active military service, taking the opportunity to challenge themselves in a different environment and reconnect with the community.

Among them was 22 year old Yehor Oliinyk from Zaporizhzhia. Yehor joined the military at the start of the full scale invasion when he was just 18 years old. A year later, he was injured and lost his leg. After receiving a prosthesis, he returned to military service and continues to serve today. While on leave, he joined the Levitate team to take part in the Spartan Para Race and push himself through a new challenge.

Levitate ambassador Chris Greenwood was also among the participants. In the weeks leading up to the race, he focused much of his training on one of the course's most demanding obstacles: the uphill rope climb. With both a leg amputation and a hand injury, the challenge was far from easy. After an unsuccessful first attempt, Christofer returned to the obstacle and successfully completed it on his second try.

While the event included timing chips and rankings, competition was never the focus for the Levitate team. Instead, the race became a demonstration of teamwork, resilience, and community. Participants moved through the course together, waiting for one another at obstacles, offering support where needed, and celebrating every completed challenge as a group.

The finish line was crossed not as individuals, but as a team.

For many participants, the race represented more than a sporting event. It was an opportunity to test themselves, build confidence, and experience the strength that comes from moving alongside others who share similar experiences.

With Spartan Race 2026 complete, the team's focus has already shifted to the next challenge: this summer, they will reunite in Bukovel for another Spartan race, continuing a journey built on movement, determination, and mutual support.
