Standing at 2061 Meters with the Forever Foot
Together with the Second Wind initiative, our team climbed Hoverla, the highest mountain in Ukraine (2,061 m), alongside Ukrainian defenders, including amputee veterans. The conditions were severe: deep snow, unstable ground, and sections where the only way forward was to break the trail step by step.
Chris from the Levitate Ukraine team completed the ascent wearing the Forever foot. The terrain, heavy snow and shifting surfaces, demanded balance, control, and endurance throughout the climb.

This hike was a physical challenge that required teamwork, preparation, and persistence. Veterans supported one another, moving forward at a steady pace despite the harsh environment.
The climb demonstrated a simple reality: recovery is not limited to clinical spaces. It continues outdoors, under load, in difficult terrain. Movement after injury is not theoretical, it happens in real conditions, including at 2,061 meters above sea level.
