Adaptive Climbing with Second Wind
Every Wednesday in Kyiv, Second Wind organizes climbing training for female and male veterans — people who have endured unimaginable challenges and are now rebuilding their lives step by step, climb by climb. Their mission is to help veterans reintegrate into civilian life through physical activity, community, and purpose.
Our Levitate Ukraine team was honored to join the session, supporting athletes using our prosthetic blades and feet as they took on the climbing wall. It was not only a physical challenge but also a powerful reminder: an injury is not the end of a story — it's the start of a new one.
This wasn’t our first adventure with the Second Wind community. Just recently, we hiked 12 kilometers of mountainous terrain alongside veterans, volunteers, and supporters. These shared moments show what’s possible when the right tools and support come together — and they reinforce why we do what we do.
With modern prosthetics and strong community support, the limits keep shifting. People are not just walking again — they’re climbing, running, hiking, and thriving.
